In the year 2158, most of humanity lives in the frozen grips of an ice age. But Jourdan Cartier believes there might be habitable places outside the confines of his enclosed city. Thus he sets out on a voyage of discovery with a misfit band of adventurers. 

On the other side of the North American continent, another cohort of explorers searches for the wreckage of their founder’s aircraft, lead by a young woman whose only clue is a ringing in her ears.

Neither group knows exactly where they are going. And, neither group knows they are driven by a promise made long ago.
